Elgin, IL…The Elgin PRO-STOCK® brand from Elgin Industries has introduced five precision-matched, made-in-the-USA Performance Camshaft Kits engineered to help optimize an array of racing and street-performance engines.
Now available through leading performance parts distributors and retailers are Sloppy Stage 1, 2 and 3 camshaft kits featuring the same, genuine Elgin PRO-STOCK Sloppy Stage camshafts that have become leading choices of professional engine builders and performance enthusiasts.
Each Elgin PRO-STOCK Camshaft Kit includes the customer’s preferred, Elgin-engineered and -manufactured performance camshaft; PRO-STOCK #RV-126918Q16 superfinished beehive valve springs; PRO-STOCK #PR-514 hardened OE replacement push rods; PRO-STOCK #ER-3990 hardened, black oxide coated valve spring retainers; PRO-STOCK #EHC-2783R machined valve locks; and PRO-STOCK #EOS-9052KIT valve stem seals.
The five new Elgin PRO-STOCK Performance Camshaft Kits are:
- CK-1838A, featuring the original, made-in-USA Elgin Sloppy Stage 1 cam, offering mild idle, an expanded power band vs. stock and increased top-end power. Outstanding daily driving cam when matched with turbo.
- CK-1840A, featuring the legendary, made-in-USA Elgin Sloppy Stage 2 cam, offering choppy idle, power to 8,000 rpm and capable of 1,000-plus working horsepower. Optimal response to turbocharger, supercharger and nitrous.
- CK-1841A, featuring the original Elgin Sloppy Stage 3 cam, offering rough idle and an optimized power band extending from mid-range to redline. Outstanding response in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines. Twin-turbo compatible.
- CK-1250A, featuring Elgin’s GM LS 515/525 camshaft engineered for short track competition and still one of the industry’s most popular GM crate engine cams.
